The best stand-up comedy in Downtown Las Vegas

In 1981 Tom Nicchi converted a basement space below his New York restaurant (named “The Deli Works”) into a comedy club just as the stand-up comedy “boom” was hitting. He named it “The Comedy Works” and it was an immediate success with shows hosted seven nights a week. Oftentimes the club would sell out and guests would sit on the stairs where they couldn’t see the stage, just to listen to the shows. During the 1980s & 1990s comics like Robin Williams, Jerry Seinfeld, Dennis Leary and Chris Rock all performed at The Comedy Works.

After 25 years Tom handed over the reins to his son Tommy in 2006, who expanded The Comedy Works to multiple locations and began presenting theater shows across the country, operating a talent management division, and producing stand-up comedy tv/film specials.

The Comedy Works, now in it's 38th year, takes pride in offering world-class stand-up comedy to Las Vegans and guests to Downtown Las Vegas, in the beautiful Plaza Hotel & Casino showroom, at the very reasonable price starting at just $25 per ticket.
